This past Sunday my Bolivian dad Nestor spent the afternoon sewing new curtains for the living room. We frequently open the window so the breeze can help combat the heat. The only catch is that the breeze can be a little fuerte sometimes and destroy things. Such was the case last week when the wind ripped up the plastic curtains. It ends well, though. Nestor sewed the curtains on this foot-powered machine and installed them. The living room is looking good now.
